WALT to use the past tense in a recount.

Dear Diary,

First I got up from my straw bed and and mammy sent me

to get clean water from the fountain.

Next I had to help my brother feed and milk the cows and

I must feed the chickens and collect the eggs.

Then it was breakfast time and I had bread and cheese and

I needed to take fresh hay to the cows and sheep.

After that I needed to sort the wheat for the bread and I

needed to churn the butter and make cheese. My sister and I

store the food for winter.

Finally it was time for tea we had porridge with bread.

It was getting dark we go to bed because only the rich

people have candles.
