Elephants
Elephants are the largest land animals in the world.
The biggest elephant was four meters high and
weighed 11,000 kilograms. They have four strong
legs,which look like pillars. Elephants have skin
2.5 centimetres thick. They sleep for three to four
hours a day. Elephants have a long and powerful
trunk,through which it sucks water. They use
their trunk to pick food and place it in its mouth.
They eat around 130 kilograms of leaves,grass
and fruit per day. They also love to eats bananas.
Elephants usually are black,grey and while too.
Male elephants have a long,white curved tusk.
They can swim for six hours. One elephant
swam for 48 kilometres. Elephants are scared
of bees.
