Habitats- Savanna
Mariana Lucia Galea
The savanna is a vegetation type that grows under hot, seasonally dry conditions and is characterized by an open tree canopy. Savannas arise as rainfall progressively lessened in the edges of the tropics during the Cenozoic Era in particular, during the past 25 million years ago.
Giraffe
Giraffes are the tallest of all living animals and are easily distinguishable by their long necks. Giraffes are a common sight in grasslands and open woodlands in East Africa. The giraffe's height comes mostly from its legs and neck.
Elephants
The largest living land animals are the elephants. They have column like legs and a huge head with wide flat ears. The largest of the elephants species is the African savanna elephant. It weights up to 16,500 pounds (7,500 kilograms) and stands 10-13 feet (3-4) meters tall at the shoulder.
