How the Romans built their roads.

  1. First, they marked a straight line.
  2. Then they dug a one metre line.
  3. After the Roman soldiers put big stones.
  4. Later, they put smaller stones on top of big ones to help the rainwater drain away.
  5. Lastly they put flat stones on top of small stones so they

won't slip on the rainwater and they could march.

They also built straight roads to stop enemies from hiding.
