A wonderful butterfly

Last month I was walking home from school when I noticed a large butterfly on the wall. I was surprised and I wanted to get closer to it and I tried not to step on a branch. When I got closer I saw its blue, green, purple and orange colours, they were beautiful, they were like a rainbow. The blue looked like a magic blue jewel, the butterfly's body sparkled and glowed too. I wanted it to come on my hand. Instead the butterfly looked at me and got scared because it thought I would kill it so it flew away. I went running home and I told my mum what I saw. I will never forget that day when I saw this wonderful butterfly.
