Mount Vesuvius is in Italy,and the nearest towns are "Naples,Pompeii and Herculaneum. The height of MT Vesuvius is 1,220. In 24th August, BC 79 mt Vesuvius erupted. Pompeii and Herculaneum disappeared under ash and lava! A man called" Pliny" wrote about the volcano when it erupted in BC 79.
