They use a lot of matiearials such as stones, wood, ceramics, jade and bones to decorate their buildings.

Mayans maths

The Mayan used number systems with the base number of 20 (they use a base -10 number system). They wrote numbers using a system of bons and dots. A bon represents the number 5. Every 5 numbers they added another bar they would add. The number zero was written with a symbol that looked like a shell.

Mayans Calendar

Every 52 years the two caledars would start on the same day. There were 5 extra "unlucky" days in the 19th month to get to total of 365 days in a year.
