We have loved listening to the traditional tale of 'The Gingerbread Man'. The children have fully engaged in the bakery role play this week, baking cakes and gingerbread for their friends and teachers. The playdough has been very popular this week, the children have been using the rolling pins and cutters to create the characters from the gingerbread man story. We have also been very busy mixing paint to find out which colour's make brown so that we could paint our Gingerbread man. The children enjoyed putting buttons on the Gingerbread Man and then counting how many he had and then matching the amount to the correct number.
