Secrets

I have recently been reading a very interesting and sad book called Secrets by one of my favourite authors, World-Selling Authors, Jacqueline Wilson!!!!

Treasure and India are two girls with very different lifestyles, but soon a surprising friendship grows between both of them one day as they met.

India lives in a large, luxurious house with a skinny, super-model mum, Moya Upton a fashion designer who finds India’s weight embarrassing and India can’t stand her. Also, a dad, a businessman with a terrible drinking problem though she absolutely adores, however, he doesn’t spend time with her now unlike before.                                                                                                                                             On the other hand, Treasure lives in a local, bad council estate with her loving and stylish grandmother after getting beaten with a belt by her step-father, Terry. She is devoted to her Nan and determined not to go back, but soon lives in fear of having to go back to Terry.

As their friendship grows and grows every day, both the friends keep diaries, inspired by their heroine, Anne Frank, who also kept a diary during a war.

One day, after Wanda, her lazy child minder, fails to collect her from school, India decides to walk home. While passing through the Latimer Estate she meets Treasure, and the two hit it off instantly. India is very taken with Treasure's charismatic family, and Treasure is impressed by India's posh lifestyle.

What will happen to Treasure and India in the rest of the story??????

In my opinion I will give this book a rating of 9/10, because it is a simply amazing stories and will probably be an age rate for from about 8 years and over.
Ssshhh!!! Ssshhh!!!
