Agatha Barbara

Agatha Barbara was a Maltese woman . She was born in March 11, 1923. She died in February 4 2002.

She was a Maltese politician and she was the first woman to serve as president of Malta.

She had worked as an air raid warden and supervised one of the kitchens set up by the British military to feed the population.

After the war she become a teacher at Flores college but was drawn into the political movement for independence from Britain.

In my opinion she was a very hard working woman , and an inspiration to all the woman.
