Robert Falcon Scott was a British Navy

Officer under the reign of Queen Victoria.

He was born on the 6th June 1868,

Plymouth. At the age of 13 he became

a naval cadet and served on the Navy

Ships in the 1880s and the 1890s.

The expedition he is most famous for

is called the Terra Nova (1910-1913),

where him and his crew were the second

crew to reach the Antarctica. Sadly,when they

finally arrived, one died in mid-February,

one died from severe frostbite and the

remaining three (including Robert)

died from starvation, in 1912.

Scott will be remembered as a

brave man, who made it to the

Antarctica. He will be remembered

for years to come.
