When people say Charles Darwin they often tend to think of the word "evolution". But what does evolution mean and why is Charles Darwin known for it?


Early years


Charles (Robert) Darwin was a British naturalist and is also the author of "On The Origin of species by means of Natural Selection". Charles Darwin was born in Shrewsbury, Shropshire, on the 12 February 1809. But unfortunately died in 1882. He was not an only child but the fifth of six children. He was raised and grew up in a wealthy family and wealthy society.



Charles Darwin's studies

Charles Darwin's love and passion for nature made him neglect his medical education at the University Of Edinburgh ; instead he went to go help research marine invertebrates. His 5-year voyage on HMS beagle established him as an eminent geologist.
