Our topic throughout the next half term will be minibeasts.

For your half term challenge we ask that you take your child on a bug hunt. When your child finds an interesting bug please give them an opportunity to take a photo of it by themselves. We would then like you to email this photo to the school office so that we may collect all the photos together and make a super minibeast photo blog.

This email link can also be found on the ‘Contact us’ part of our school website.

We will of course be reading ‘The Very Hungry Caterpillar’ together and talking about the healthy/unhealthy foods that the caterpillar chose to eat. We will be singing songs about caterpillars in our music session and exploring the instruments that sound like munching, crawling, growing and flying. We will be observing real caterpillars really closely, using magnifying glasses too. This will help us to think about questions we have about the caterpillar and butterfly life cycle.

We wish you a happy and healthy half term, please share lots of exciting books and enjoy your bug hunt!
