In 5P this week...

We have been writing viking kennings about animals. A kenning is like a poem using lots of different metaphors. Each new line is a noun phrase and is describing something without actually saying what it is. Here is mine:

I am Horse

A muzzle-nudger

A silky ear-twitcher

A glossy tail-whipper

A plaited mane-flicker.

A cart-heaver

A hard hoof-trampler

A fox-hunter

A war fighter.

A stable-sleeper

A valley-roamer

A barn-breather

A woodland-dozer.

A fence-flier

A grassy plain-bolter

A dressage-trotter

An olympic-sprinter.

A straw-scoffer

A lake slurper

A noisy apple-muncher

A polo mint-lover.

A caring friend to all

I am Horse!
