Wartime Carrot Scones By Marguerite Patten

About Marguerite Patten

Marguerite Patten sold cookery leaflets during world war 2. She based her recipes on ration books so many throughout England used her instructions to create a scrumptious snack. During the war, this phenomenal lady joined the ministry of food and came up with nourishing snacks based on the ration books everyone was forced to use. Later in Marguerite's life (after the war) she became the earliest TV celebrity chef of all times and wrote many more books based upon her cooking.
