Microsociety Week 2 !!!

Last Friday we played Monopoly and we discovered

different strategies to win. In the game we needed

to make choices of whether we should invest on

properties or not. It probably would make a difference

if we had longer time, because there is more chance

that people would land on your property and you gain

more money.

Magistrates Court

Also, with my class we visited Lavender Hill Magistrates Court. It was really

interesting to see the cells where people in custody were kept, it had lots of writing on the walls too. The cell doors were made of metal, they were very thick and had weird windows! We got to see the actual court and learnt about all the important roles that people did. After, we re-enacted a real court case. The main character was Dennis Lightfinger (he was the one who did the crime!) I was the Narrator.

Money

At school we learnt about different currency

in different countries like: pounds, euros,

dollars, ruppies and yen. We also discussed

what other things could be used as currency

like diamonds, cows, gold and shells.
