Avoiding the mud, I side-stepped through the marshy grass. Until at last, I reached my favourite spot, by the lake with branches that were witches fingers curling malicious in all directions, the frozen lake looked like a postcard picture. As I gazed out onto the lake I was in a trance, until a soggy branch curled round my ankle, as I stamped on its head as it crawled away. Strolling away, I was met by many more of these creatures. They had peeling bark and piercing green eyes, that stared blankly. Quickly I stepped away, but I soon realised they were following me...
