The learning theme next week will be ‘Harvest’.

For the challenge we ask that you support your childto sort some fruits and vegetables. Whilst they are sorting the items pleasetalk about their characteristics such as whether they contain seeds, where theygrow and of course their colour. Please then support your child to find out onefact about Harvest. This may be posted on the blog or sent in via your child’swallet. If you would like to send in pictures of the fruit and vegetable sorting you can email them to the following address and we will share them in class next week:

Next week the children will be singing our Harvest song, ‘Dingle Dangle Scarecrow’ to the rest of the school in the Harvest Festival assembly. We have been practising this week and the children sound fantastic!

As part of our Autumn theme we will continue to share stories from the author NickButterworth.The children will becompleting their hedgehogs and we will look at the important role a Scarecrowplays!

Dates foryour Diary: Fun filled Bonfire Themed Stay and Play will take place on: Wednesday 7th November

11:00-12:00pm for Foundation 1 and

2.30pm-3.30pm for Foundation 2.

F2 Reading Together time starts on Thursday 15th November at 3.00pm.This is an opportunity for you to come and read with your child inschool.You may share their readingbook, which can be changed once within the session and then enjoy a story fromwithin the Unit.
