Ladybug Life Cycle
- Ladybirds are beetles
- They are known for their roundish bodies and bright colours.
- There are a few left in Malta but several thousand of ladybugs.
- Most are round or oval in shape and usually 8 to 10mm (0.3 to 50.4 inches) long.
- Ladybird beetles lay eggs in batches on leaves. When the grubs, or larvae hatch they are very active.
- When attacked, ladybugs release small drops of unpleasant taste.
