Street Child Book Review
Tell us about your opinions of Street Child so far:
I think that 'Street Child' is an amazing book. It really captures how
Jim Jarvis feels, and is a powerful book. In class, I am always
paying attention to the events in the book. They are always exciting,
and the last sentence of every paragraph makes me want to
know more and more. It doesn't only capture Jim's character, it
captures the thoughts of other characters without telling you
exactly what they are thinking.
How has the story helped your understanding of life during the Victorian era?
It has told me lots about workhouses and laws of the 1880s. I have
a better understanding of what it was to be a Victorian. Next time
I read about the Victorians, I will know lots already.
