• Read your school reading book daily. Talk about the story and re-tell it in your own words. Learn your Kipper words. (Sheet sent home weekly in the wallet - Fridays)
• Read an Ebook on www.oxfordowl.co.uk You will need a parent email address to register and search ebooks. You can choose books at your

stage using the drop down boxes to find the Oxford Reading Tree Level.

• Use the BBC Bitesize Games English 'Small Town Superheroes'.

'Sentences', 'Punctuation', 'Spelling Tricky Words', 'Sound it Out',

'Simple Sounds', Sight Words' and 'Blending Sounds'. Choose your

level Easy, Medium or Hard.

• Write 2 to 3 sentences about what you have done at the weekends. Remember to use a capital letter to start, finger spaces and a full stop to end. Draw a picture to illustrate your work.
• Draw and colour a picture of the members of your family. Label it with their names. You can include your pets.
• Write your full name remembering to use correct letter formation. 'Practice makes perfect' so do it as much as you can.

Listed below you will find a set of activities designed to help your child with their Maths learning in school this half-term. Remember to make it practical,fun and relate it to everyday life.



• Practise writing you numbers 0 to 10 using the correct formation. All the numbers start at the top when writing them.
• Count to 20 and beyond. Can you count

backwards from 20 to 0?

• Place the numbers 0 to 20 in order. Take one

away. Can you tell which one is missing?

• Choose 4 numbers within the range you are comfortable. Can you put these numbers in order from the smallest to the largest? Play Topmarks Maths Game Caterpillar Ordering - Ordering and

Sequencing numbers. Click on the link. Choose your

level.

• Choose a number within 20 and say what is 1 more

and 1 less than that number. Challenge with higher

numbers and say what is 10 more and 10 less.

• Learn to recite the days of the week in order? Can

you recite the months of the year? Use the language of time - today, tomorrow and yesterday.

• Play BBC Bitesize Games (Maths Key Stage 1) -

'Bud's Number Garden' to work on counting

and ordering.

• Play BBC Bitesize Games (Maths Key Stage 1) -

'Karate Cats' and work on the 'Number and

Place Value'. Choose your level Bronze, Silver

or Gold.

• Play shops and get to know the different coins. #

Use 1p coins to buy priced items. Can you give

change from 10p?

• Try to think about and notice Maths in our

everyday lives - numbers on doors, shapes,

patterns, telling the time - o'clock, weighing

when baking.
