Our First Micro-Society Lessons!

We had our first micro-society lessons on Thursday. In the first one we listened to a story about a planet called Justenuf. One day their robot that supplied their food broke down. The planet then became Notenuf. As a table we had to find a way to solve the problem and I suggested that they should have a vote of who got what food. I really liked that lesson!

On the second lesson we played a game. If you handed in a circle with a diameter of 10 you would get 10 points, if you handed in a square with a width of 10 you would get 5 points and finally if you handed in a counter you would get 5 points. We got given as a table 1 pencil, 1 ruler, 5 bits of paper, 1 pair of scissors and 2 counters. We were a 2nd world group. We tried to trade with other groups for a compass but they would not accept anything which was a bit annoying and we manged not to get any points as well. I thought that lesson was okay.

Finally on Friday we came up with a name which is Camozonia. Everyone in the class designed a flag but we have yet to choose one. My one had a big circle (The class) with 6 little circles inside (The tables) and a camouflage pattern around it. I quite enjoyed that lesson.

Over all I had a nice time and so far I am liking micro-society!
