Bangladesh is a small country

on the border of India and

Nepal. The currency is called  taka.

History of the Bangladesh flag

The national flag of Bangladesh was founded in 1972. The red circle in the middle represents the sun rising in the morning and the blood which was shed in the independence of Bangladesh. The green symbolizes the green fields and the nature of Bangladesh.

Religion

In Bangladesh the religion which is followed by Bengali people is Islam. In Islam the people which perform it are called Muslims. Muslims pray five times a day. One in the sun dusk, one in the noon one in the early evening, one in the evening and finally in the night. Bengali people go to the mosques and learn Arabic to learn the Quran.

Clothes

In Bangladesh women in the villages wear something called a salwar or a sari which is either cotton , linen or silk. Also in the village, the men wear something called a longi which is a skirt like thing which is worn with a top. On special occasions people wear a sari or something called a Punjabi.
