Outside, the wind whipped the snow across the roads.  Already you could barely see anything.  It was too cold to be out.  The snowstorm blindfolded the town, muffling the world in white silence.

Inside the warehouse, it was quite dark.  Years of dust had covered the windows with a thin layer and only a faint light filtered through.  Each footstep echoed, leaving behind a trail of footprints through the dust.  Boxes of different sizes were piled high, like strange towers.  Cobwebs hung between the boxes like lace nets.  An abandoned ladder lay at an awkward  angle across what looked like an old television set.  Its wires spilled out.  Max stood still for a moment and let his breathing settle.

It was then that he heard it.  The faintest of sounds – a floorboard creaked.  Then, another.  He stood quite still, his senses alert, straining to listen.  For a long while it was quite quiet – only the distant murmurings of the wind drifting snow.  Then somebody coughed …

Your setting description:

Outside, the wind howled like a wounded wolf. The only sound he could hear was the sound of his boots crunching in the miserable snow. CRUNCH! CRUNCH! The ferocious wind cried in anguish and blew fiercely. Max couldn't see anything in his way. The snow covered the road with snow like a blanket. The white feathery trees, stood up like soldiers marching off to war. The snow sheltered the trees while they were leisurely moving. The undomesticated snowstorm blindfolded the town. The wind hissed in his ears like a snake ready to attack. Then, he came to a aged weird warehouse. After that, he soon spotted that there were footsteps in the abandoned warehouse.

A shiver went down his spine as he entered the spine-chilling,shadowy daunting warehouse. He saw boxes and boxes stacked up like piles and piles of clothes. He felt safe now. As he explored the ghostly place,he feebly stroked his hair to get the piercing snow off. The eerie silence was nice. The inky shadows danced on the walls (like ballerinas). Then the wind came out of nowhere and suddenly took him to the decaying ground. He wasn't expecting that. He was petrified. Then, straight away his face went pale. He was creeped out a lot.

That's when he suddenly heard a hair-raising, sinister rasp noise. He stood still (the eerie silence got taken away from the harrowing warehouse). A few seconds later, he realised that he was holding his breath. His thoughts conflicted. He didn't know weather to flee like lightning or keep on exploring the groaning warehouse. He instantly heard that noise again, and again, and again. Then he felt a cold breeze wrap around his mouth like it was telling him to keep quiet. CREAKKK! Then out of nowhere a monstrous, midnight shadow leaped towards him and then COUGH! COUGH! COUGH!...
