The Percy Jackson books are some of the best books I have ever read, nay probably the best. Rick Riordan really brings the characters to life in a way that makes you care for them and want to read on.

It is also educational and teaches you about the Greek gods. In Year 6 you learn about the Ancient Greeks and because of the books I already knew a bit about them, and I was able to help people who did not understand.

Percy Jackson is the main character. He is the son of Poseidon (god of the sea). During the book we get to understand his character more and more. As the book is first person, we are seeing the world and adventures through his eyes therefore you feel like you are there.

All in all, I would 100% recommend these books.
