January - Another fantastic day for our young footballers! We took part in the Cardiff City Football Tournament which is always a reallyexciting day.  Team 2 had a wonderful experience playing teams from allover South Wales and enjoying a few victories along the way while team 1 endedup winning their group and progressing to Cup Final Day!  Very proud of everyone who took part and looking forward to playing against the top schools in the next round.

January - Cardiff City Cup Final Day.  6 Days of tournaments,170 Schools in all and we make it to Cup Final Day where the best of the bestteams play against each other to be crowned Cardiff City Champions!  After some blistering performances the boys and Leah were looking confident and relaxed.  Scoring a host of goals and conceding just a few we made it through as group winners! Wow! The semi final saw us face our toughest opposition yet and at nil nil we were forced into the dreaded penalty shootout!  Everyone buried their penalties and we were in a sudden death situation!  Our hero Dylan in goals managed to pull off the save of the century and we found ourselves in the final!  in 9 years of entering the tournament, we have made the semi final twice but never a final.  How fantastic!  The final was a very nervous affair against an extremely talented Romilly Primary School from Barry and we lost 1 nil.  We wish Romilly all the best as they go on to represent Cardiff City in the regional stage EFL KidsCup Finals in Reading.  Despite the result in the final, we are so very proud of the players who displayed true sportsmanship throughout the tournament.  To come 2nd out of 170 schools is a massive achievement and we are all so very proud!  Dylan, Carl, Wayne, Cole, Kobi, Jacob and Leah Marie, we salute you!

January - Great to see our younger children in action at the Year 2 Football Festival at Cwmbran Stadium.  3 5 aside teams took part including an all girl team. Everyone had great fun!  They played brilliantly as a team, encouraged each other and improved their skills throughout the day.  There were lots of lovely smiles and everyone shook hands with the other teams after each match.  Huge thanks to Torfaen Sports Development Team for hosting the event and well done to all our young ones taking part.
