The discovery of the giant legs

It was back in 1847 when Arthur Jackson, the famous British explorer discovered them. The ancient weathered legs were half hidden by moss and rust. Arthur had been trecking through thorny bracken and swampy bog like land when he stumbled across them. But really how could anyone have missed them? They were majestic, huge and flaming scarlet, at least they were on that first encounter. Cautiously he started to uncover the giant, steel legs. Who could have put them there? For hours, Arthur studied the giant legs and many theories about their origins were fizzing in his mind. Suddenly, there was a jerk and a loud grating sound. Were they moving?
