Robert Falcon Scott was a British Naval officer and an explorer.He was a captain of 2 expeditions to the South Pole (Antarctica).He was racing with an Norwegian man named: Roald Amudsen but unfortunately he was beaten by 1 month.

Robert Falcon Scott was born In Plymouth on the 6th of June 1868 and became an British Naval officer at the age of 13! (fun fact)😉

Although Scott was an excellent sailor on ships and an excellent officer he did have some problems :he ran a boat aground in 1893 and his Dad declared bankruptcy in 1894.

Scott lead an Antarctic exploration in 1901. Although they didn't reach the South Pole they made it further south than anyone.

Scott also led another expedition but this time to the South Pole. Amazingly he and his crew survived the snow,the freezing cold,dying and having injuries to the shivery South Pole! But (alliteration alert). then bad things happened only 3 off his members survived including Scott (they were first 5).Although they survived Scott made an unlucky decision😮😬😕 and set camp when a blizzard was coming. Unfortunately, Scott and his crew died.😕😦😧 Scott is now remembered in England as the first British man on the South Pole or for the other nations the second man reaching the South Pole.
