Evacuated from London
My Grandpa was evacuated (at the age of 6, in 1941)from north London and got sent to cornwall, although he did not like getting sent away from his Mum and Dad, he had always wanted to be near the seaside.
The people who had looked after him for 6months were very nice. They lived in a small buglo with 2 bedrooms, one for my grandpa and one for the people that lived with him.He would go to the seaside every day after school and either play beach ball or go swimming in the sea, he a was lucky boy.
