Islington Primary Schools Football League

Our boys and girls played their final game in the Islington Primary Schools Football League, with Grafton Primary our opponents. As per normal the girls were first up and recorded a very pleasing and well deserved win, with a goal from Fedan the match winner.

On paper it was a justified victory as we had chances to score but were denied by the Grafton keeper. All in all a good way to end their league campaign. Due to unavailability down to a variety of reasons we have struggled to get regular teams out, but the girls have shown excellent commitment and attitude in all their matches. Unfortunately we couldn't get a team photo done, but will endeavour to get this sorted out.

Squad - Millie, Jodie, Zoe, Tanya, Molly, Fedan, Khadijah, Yayla, Mollie and Natalia.

Our boys were triumphant and sealed the league title with a 5-0. Admittedly our opponents were missing a couple of key players, but the boys have undoubtedly been the best team in the league and their record of played 7, won 7 highlights that.

This team has the perfect balance that is needed to be successful, skill, speed, and a great determination to play for each other. So onto the game, and we went ahead early on through Jordan. Stephane then made it two and a strike from Jordan deflected into the net to make it 3-0 at half time.

The second half we continued to dominate as Louis made it four, and Jordan added a fifth to seal the title. Well done to all the boys, its been a pleasure to work with them and hopefully we can continue the good form onto the Finals Day.

Squad - Sid, Cory, Amir, Archie, Jordan, Stephane, Han, Louis, Cameron, Eloim, Patrick and Diago.

PS If you are wondering wheter our deadly trio of Han, Jordan and Stephane have reached 100 goals, the answer is yes, they now stand on over hundred which is a phenomenal achievement.
