Oracy Project

You need to plan and prepare a presentation linked with our Roald Dahl topic, we would like you to talk about your favourite author!

It is up to you what you talk about but we would like to find out about whose books you like and why! (If you need to discuss further, please come and see us)

Suggested Timeline:

1. Week beginning 23rd October - start planning what you would like to research about. Complete your research using safe websites and discussing with a trusted adult.
2. Half term week - Continue to plan and research your favourite author - you could start a J25 document or a Microsoft PowerPoint presentation and add your notes to it.
3. Week beginning 6th November. Prepping and practising your presentation - put some finishing touches to your presentation, start to rehearse how you will perform.
4. Week beginning 13th November - Delivering the presentation.

Oracy - this presentation is more about how you speak. You need to have rehearsed your presentation, this is not a READING exercise, it is about how you talk, use gestures and can perform.
