My name is Ralph and I love to go on adventures. I am 8 years old and I love maths.

Our story begins in the school toilets. A ghost came out and I didn't know what was going to happen. I was terrified. The ghost was white with a golden flute, 6 feet tall, wearing a white dress. Then the ghost spoke and told me that we were going back in time to a thousand years ago in time.

I decided to say “OK, but how are we going to get there”.

The ghost said “right here in this here toilet” and I said “wow”.

The ghost said “just stand here and I will take you back in time”.

She took me back through all the generations until we reached where we were supposed to go, to a school that was here a thousand years ago.

The school was covered in ivy and it had brick walls and dull lights. The windows had sharp spikes so no kids could get out and they were very shaded. The main entrance was a door covered with red bloody spikes. We did not even try to open the door because I thought there might be guards and they might hang us on the spikes or keep us prisoner in there.

THEN.

A little way down the street I saw an elepahntine museum building. It was red bricked, lighted windows, with a beautiful golden door. There was no sign of anyone. I decided to go in.

I found some mummies in coffins and when we'd been there for about 10 minutes the mummies starting coming alive. We were terrified. They were bloody and wrapped in bandages and they looked absolutely horrible. We only saw their eyes because their mouths and noses were wrapped up with bloody bandages. I screamed. We ran across the whole museum until we got to the armouries. We found a case of beautiful cross bows. Luckily the key was still in the case. We chose the best one, then opened the case. We took it out but very unluckily there were no arrows. We looked in all the other cabinets for the arrows. We eventually found a bag of flint headed sharp arrows, and we took the whole bag. Then we started firing all of them. One after the other after the other. Eventually we killed them all again. The mess was horrible there was blood everywhere and we could now see their rotting bodies. We put the crossbow in the bag, luckily we still had a whole load of arrows left, and we ran as fast as we could. I said thank you to the ghost for taking me on this huge fantastic adventure. Then the ghost said shall I take you back to your normal time. I said “yes please”. The ghost did. We said thank you again. I went back to all of my lessons. And I realised I'd only been sitting on the toilet dreaming for 5 minutes.
