Ravensbourne School drama workshops

On Tuesday 25th of November 8 Ravensbourne students came to Southborough Primary school to show us their version of Alice in wonderland. When we walked in the first thing we noticed was their amazing set and props which they had painted themselves. Once they got started we realized how good they actually were ( the answer to that is fantastic! ). My favourite Characters were tweddledum and tweddledum who were hilarious and could do lots of flips and acrobatics. I also liked Alice because she was very pretty and had a stunning dress. The show was excellent and we could all see that they had put in a lot of effort. Once the show had ended we got had the chance to do a quick q and a with them.

After that we had to go back to our classroom for 25 minutes while the other class had their workshops. Finally it was our turn to have workshops so we walked back down to the hall. When we arrived there we had to go round in small groups and hot seat all the Characters. I most enjoyed hot seating the queen because the part was played by a man ! After that we put ourselves into groups of 5 and had to act out our favourite scene from the performance. Our group decided to do the part where the characters first meet the queen of hearts. Luckily we had the man who played the part of the queen to help us. He was extremely helpful and gave us lots of good advice. Unfortunately we ran out of time so our group did not have time to perform in front on the class.

Overall the experience was brilliant and I enjoyed it a lot. The people were really nice and very helpful.
