The children have ahd another great week singing the nursery rhyme 'Little Miss Muffet' and re-enacting it with their friends. They've discovered lots of facts about spiders and have been very creative in making their very own spider, each very different and unique.

We have been catching flies (pom-poms, really) for the spider to strengthen our hand muscles as well as making and drawing webs using a wide range of materials. We had great fun putting our spiders in different places, in front, behind, beside or on top of the chair that Little Miss Muffet was sitting on. We had messy fun spooning the curds and whey (porridge) into bowls. We continued tuning into different sounds in our phonics sessions and we are getting really good at listening carefully and discriminating between different sounds. We are also learning new skills in PE!
