Week Beginning 9th March 2020

Bumper to Bumper.

This week we are finishing off our Transport theme with the story Bumper to Bumper by Jakki Wood, a story about a traffic jam. In this story we see and learn about lots of different types of vehicles all stuck in a huge traffic jam. We have had a great time reading this story, learning about all the different types of vehicles, counting them and talking about which ones are our favourites and why. We have also spoke about road saftey and how we can stay safe when crossing roads.

Some children also made a picture or a model of their favourite vehicle at home as part of last week's challenge, they were fantastic and the children loved sharing their creations with all their friends at Playgroup.

In phonics this week we have been learning about the T t letter sound, the children are doing really well in phonics and we will continue learning a new sound each week, next week we will be learning the P p letter sound.

Our theme next week will be Mothers, we will be reading stories about mothers and will also be talking about our own mothers and how special they are.
