The Westbourne Chronicle

Last week, Year 4 took a coach to Sayers Croft. They were busy for the whole time they were there and they had lots of fun. Each day and night there was something exciting in store for them. For half of the class, the first activity was wall climbing against another team. The other half of the class did a rope course with an amazing swing called the Tarzan swing and a leap of faith. Once all of the children in one half had completed their activity, they swapped over. After that exiting activity they did some underground caving and shelter building! They had to see if their shelters were waterproof ( by pouring water on them), wind proof (by shaking the shelter) and bear proof (by one of the teachers sticking their hand inside). After that they did a dormouse survey and orienteering. In the evening they had a night walk and roasted marshmallows - yum! After a peaceful night’s sleep, it the last day of their trip. They walked through the maze, trying to find a secret word, and then they tackled a blindfold trail, climbing over obstacles with a partner to guiding them along. Both classes had a brilliant time at Sayers Croft and wish they could go back again soon.

Did you go to Sayers Croft? Did you enjoy your trip? Tell us all about it in the comments section.
