• Read every day and discuss what you have read- What is happening? What are the characters like? Have you spotted any new words?
• At the end of the week, write a summary of your what you have read so far of your book and predict what you think will happen next.

• Complete another comprehension in your CGP book.
• Complete the English mystery 'Who stole the emoji's colour' grammar activity (on the school website under PUPILS - YEAR 5 HOME LEARNING SUMMER 2020).
• Continue to work through the Spring English Activity Booklet (on the school website under PUPILS - YEAR 5 HOME LEARNING SUMMER 2020). This may take a few weeks!

TASK: Write a fact file about Captain Tom.

INCLUDE:

• use parenthesis with brackets, commas or dashes for extra information - click the help link for help!
• use third person - Tom, he
• include headings and subheadings
• include dates and facts
• Include a quote from Captain Tom
• Use fronted adverbials to start your sentences and follow them with a comma! Here are some you could use
