For most people in developing countries, hunger might be when they forget to eat breakfast in the morning and go straight to school.
but in a undeveloped country such as Cambodia, real hunger is when they don't have enough food to last them through the day sometimes even through the week so they starve.
Where are people hungry?
People are mostly hungry in poor
villages in Africa, Asia, The Caribbean
and south America
What is hunger?
1. Over 795 million people in the world do not have enough food to be healthy .
2. 1/6 children (that's 100 million) in developing countries is underweight.
3. 11.3% of the world’s population is hungry
4. If women farmers had the same access to resources as men, the number of hungry people in the world could be down by up to 150 million.
5. In 2010 an estimated 7.6 million children (more than 20,000 a day) died!
6. Every 3.6 seconds a child dies from hunger.

Why are people across the world hungry?
If there is not enough rainfall there wont be any water to grow the crops.
If parent cant get jobs then they wont have money to buy food for their children
Food is too expensive
people may not know how to grow they're own food
In the Caribbean there is not enough transport to bring the foods in so they have to wait until food comes in on a boat.
What can we do to stop world hunger?
Teach every family how to plant and grow there own foods.
Donate spare food to a local food bank
Make every child that goes to school have free school meals
Teach women how to farm so there will be more farmers
