Mother Teresa

Mother Teresa was born in 1910. Her real name was Agnes Bojaxhiu. She lived in Serbia .She always helped her parents at home and always wanted to help other people.

When she grew up she went to live in Calcutta, India. Calcutta was full of poor people and she decided to help poor people so she worked in hospitals and schools. She built her own hospital for the poor. She also worked as a nun. People called her Mother Teresa because she was like a mother to the people.

Achievements:

In 1979 she received a special prize for her good work. She gave all her money to the poor. She was famous and she died in 1997.
