This half term, I visited Shropshire, which is very near Wales. We (My mum, dad, brother & I) left home

on Monday and returned this afternoon (Friday). The whole week was packed with action and it was a

great trip.

We left home on Monday morning, and arrived at our hotel at approximately 14:00. It was

a three hour drive, and my legs were very stiff when I got out of the car! Our rooms at Mynd House

were calledte Stretton and Marshbrook, and we were delighted by the fact that we got a free pack

of biscuits every day! Soon, we were out of the house and were walking around, discovering

a lovely little stream and beautiful hills. After a yummy supper we went to bed.

Over the next few days we ate at delicious restaurants, went for more tiring walks and discovered tiny

sweet shops but one of the best things we did was go on the Severn Valley Railway, which was amazing.

It was really cool to ride a steam train that looked just how it would have in Victorian times. We also

stopped at Bewdley, which had lovely views and museums. I had a lot of fun. Another highlight was

Ironbridge. It is a fascinating living history museums, which is named after the first ever bridge that was named of iron. We visited the bridge and a tile museum, but the best bits of all were the Victorian Town and

Enginuity. Enginuity is a science museum, which teaches you lots and is packed with things to do. The Victorian Twn also has loads to do. It has lots of shops and activities such as candle dipping and the fairground. You can also pay in Victorian money! I enjoyed the traditional sweet shop and the fair, where I won a prize. Overall, it was an extremely fun holiday, which had something for all the family. If the weather had been better, it would have been perfect!
