I remembered recently reading Dave Andrew's blog about using mobile tech on residential visits and my thoughts turned to doing something similar, only using J2E. Not because I didn't rate Dave's method, far from it, just thought I'd try a different approach as I have the J2e app on my iPad and a J2webby account set up, so reasoned that schools with similar could do something similar.

Well, I'm on a sort of residential visit at the moment, called a holiday and whilst I'm determined not to get sucked into working whilst abroad on a regular basis, thought that I could spend a little time seeing if the iPad, J2E combo would work.

I have teacher rights on this account, so anything I post pops onto the site straight away, but pupil posts would be held for moderation.

One thing I have just discovered is that whilst J2E is an online product, the iPad app, and I think an Android version is on the way, saves work offline if there's no connection to the web. Handy, especially as I'm too mean to pay for roaming data whilst abroad. Wi-fi or 'nowt for me en vacance!

iPads, J2E and blogging away from school.

Anyway, enough of this almost work stuff. It's time for me to shift myself from here

To here!

I might blog later, but the pressure of doing other things is so great!
