Or should that be une?

Well, week 2 of the holiday and there's been rain today. I am only 60 miles or so further north, but even so.

Anyway, it' s been an excuse to do nothing but chill, read, admire the view and plan a little excursion tomorrow.

The scenery here in the Thiviers district is quite different, despite the lack of miles from downtown Castillones. There are far fewer fields of sunflowers round here and it feels more of an English vista than a Mediterranean one. Still, it was a balmy 25 degrees C at the night market at 11 pm last night, so hardly nippy.

Still, as I type and contemplate tonight's eating arrangements, the rain is passing and a sunny evening is looking likely and it seems I won't have to search out the rain gear for tomorrow.

I think I've taught myself all I need to know about the j2E app for now and I'm hoping that the video bit will arrive soon. When it does I think schools will have an excellent mobile blogging solution.

Not sure if this will be my last blog as I'm determined not to spend my holiday 'doing work', but thought I'd possibly sign off by noting that I've just spent a delightful 30 mins gazing at the best night sky I can ever recall seeing. The Milky Way was in full view and countless stars to boot. Quite splendid!

If I'd had the correct photo gear, I'd have taken a pic, but Ii didn't, so you'll just have to believe me as to how wonderful it was.

Night night.
