Year 4: 2ndSpring Half Term

Topic:

This Half Term, Year 4 have been learning about Volcanoes. To express their learning about volcanoes, Year 4 visited the Natural History Museum. They got brilliant demonstrations by staff, who worked there. The kids were extremely fascinated by them immediately. They were really fascinated by the idea that beneath our feet, are red, hot molten lava. Mr. Pulzer, a Year 4 teacher, even brought in an artifact to show Year 4. It was a real volcano rock, that was once covered in lava.

English:

For Literacy, to expand their knowledge of volcanoes,Year 4 have written persuasive letters about visiting a volcanic Island. They had to persuade people to visit the Island. By making these well-written letters, all the Year 4's have improved alot in their skill of writting.The year 4's have enjoyed it a lot. The pieces of writing were one of the best they had written, so far in Year 4, thanks to Mr Pulzer.

Physical Education:

Year 4 have really been enjoying tennis lately and have improved in their skills of knowing how to hold a bat, to hit the ball in the sweet spot for a very good hit and to make sure to hit the ball with a small amount with a small amount o of force. Each Year 4 has had fun enjoying how to learn tennis or learning new things about the sport.

Maths:

In maths they did lots of subjects, but one that really stood was decimals. The students enjoyed it a lot and improved in their knowledge of decimals.
