Mammals are a group of animals .Mammals are the only group that are warm-blooded [they generate their own heat to keep warm].Mammals get energy from the sun, but us humans get energy from food.Mammals are different to other animals, because they have a special gland called a mammary glands. Mammals are vertebrates [they have a back bone]which means they are very stable.These beautiful group of animals give birth to live young ,yet some lay eggs (only a couple of species do).

Reptiles are a group of animals that are cold blooded [they rely on the sun to get warm] that is why they live in hot countries, near the equator. Reptiles are vertebrates-they have a back bone- and have dry scales.There are 3 different types of Reptile:,Crocodila which are things like Crocodiles and Alligators.,Squamata species which are things like Lizards and Snakes, and Testudines which are things like Turtles and Tortoises.

Amphibians are a group of animals that live in and out of water.They are verterbrates [they have a backbone].Most of them have water proof skin ,like Frogs do,they are Amphibians.Amphibians are cold blooded, so they rely on the sun to keep warm, that's why they live in hot countries.The eggs of an Amphibian hatch in the water, after a while they will grow gills then they move onto land.Most Amphibians live in ponds or rivers where no human goes.

Arthropods are a group of animals ,like Spiders Scorpions and Insects, that range from microscopic to hand size.80% of the worlds species are Arthropods.They are invertebrates,they don't have a back bone,so they can move very quickly.There are many Arthropods in the world,the smallest being a Water Bear, so tiny that they can't be seen by the naked eye, and the biggest being the Brazilian wandering spider the size of an average hand.Some Arthropods live on their own and some live in colonys of up to a million.Some species like the millipede [they have up to 750 legs] eat plants,but some like the centipede eat meat [other bugs].

Inveterbrates and Verterbrates

Inverterbrates are a groupI of animals that don't have a back bone.They are a weird group and some look weird too[like the Enemeny]. Some inverterbrates feed on bits of Algei under the sea, but some feed on meat.

Vertebrates are a group of animals not incuding Athropods and Fish, because every Arthropod and Fish don't have a backbone. Verterbrates are humans too and every thing that has a back bone

Molluscs

Molluscs are a group of animals that

are inverterbrates.Most live under the sea like the Octopus [an inverterbrate] but some live on land like the Snail and Slug. Most of them eat plants but some species eat meat like the Cone snail.Most of them live underwater but only 3 speices live on land.

Pets

There are many pets in the world, ranging from the average Dog and Cat to some amazing tropical Monkeys and Toucans.Pets cost a lot of money and can be hard to look after. Some pets can be illegal if they are rare and if found will be released to the wild.Pets are very fun but remember to look after them.

Rare animals

There are many rare animals in the world and if they become extinct then they can't come back.The rarest animal is the Jarvan rhino, only 40 to 60 in the world and they live in the Indonesian rain forest. Poachers hunt rare animals and if it is not stopped soon, many animals may face extinction.
