Captain Tom




Thomas Moore (born 30th April 1920 in a place called Keighley in Yorkshire) is a former British army officer known for his achievements of raising money for the NHS in the charity run up to his 100th birthday during the 2020 Covid-19 pandemic.

Charity





In order to raise money for the NHS, Tom chose to complete 100 laps of his garden by his 100th birthday.


Captain Tom Moore aimed to raise £1000 but he smashed his target and raised almost £33 million by his birthday.
