Dian Fossey


Introduction:

Dian Fossey was a famous animal behaviorist she studied the mountain gorilla. She loved animals and was a great behaviorist.


Dian Fossey's Early life:

Dian Fossey was born on January the 16Th 1932. She was born in San Francisco. Her parents were divorced when she was six and grew up with her mother [Katharine Kidd] and stepfather [Richard Price.] Her mother's job was a fashion model and Richard price was a businessman. When Dian was six, she learnt how to ride horses, she was very interested in animals at a very young age. In high school she earned a letter on the riding team.


What Dian Fossey did:

Dian Fossey loved life on the farm but wanted to explore more wildlife. So, she decided to start research the behaviors of animals, she decided to begin her long-term research of the mountain gorilla in 1966.  she got along with the dangerous creatures welcome Dian into their troop. When Dian was on her African safari, she met a man called Alex Forrester. later they got engaged but never married. Dian wrote books and stared in a film.


What will Dian be remembered for:

Dian was only 53. She was murdered on the 26Th of December 1985 in a remote cabin, Dian will be remembered for her amazing studies of the mountain gorilla and the books and films she made.
