Lighthouse Theatre present

'Return Journey' by Dylan Thomas

On May 13th 2014, we visited the Waterfront Museum and watched a radio play written by Dylan Thomas about Swansea after the Blitz.

It was a very clever performance and because the play was written as a Radio play, the actors had to make the sound effects, as well as perform the script. The sound effects included animals, wind and people chatting. A radio play is different to a normal play because you can't see the actors. We found out lots of information about Swansea before and after WW2.

After the performance, the Lighthouse Theatre, showed us photographs of Swansea before, during and after the Blitz. We also had a workbook with clue that we had to find around the museum. It was lots of fun!
