Should Jim escape from the workhouse?

I think that Jim should definetley escape if he does not want to end up

like Joseph, not knowing what a River even is. The only place he knows

is the workhouse. He does not know how long he has been there.

If he stays there, he will forget what the world looks like. He will die there

if he does not escape soon. Like Joseph does not want to die here,

he wants to see what the world is.

The workhouse is a wretched, lousy place. They treat people unfairly,

the jobs are terrible, and the food is ghastly! Mr. Sissons does not care

a single bit about the lives of poor children. He only cares about

the children doing jobs for him.

If he escapes, he may find Emily, Lizzie, and Rosie, who will know how

to help him. He surely misses Emily and Lizzie. If he stays in the awful

workhouse, he will be forever missing his family.
