The Tennis Game Knockout

One day dad was watching the telly when the newswoman said, "On Monday, 15th April, the famous tennis player Pete Samms, will be playing tennis in Oak Street..."

Pete Samms was the family's favourite tennis player and he was going to play tennis in the street where Stacey and Steve lived. The children were delighted. They jumped off from the chairs they were sitting on and went to ask dad to take them to the tennis court next door.

The next day Stacey, Steve, dad and mum went to the tennis court. The game started and Pete shot a ball so hard it went 20 miles an hour, which is really fast. One hour later Stacey found herself lying on a hospital bed.

Steve, mum, dad and someone familiar were next to her bed. It was Pete Samms! Stacey was in shock. Pete Samms gave her the ball that had hit her on the head. Maybe being hit wasn't so bad after all!
