The Trojan War

the battle of marathon

The battle of marathon was a battle between Persia and Athens, because King Darius, king of Persia wanted to be king of Athens. They attacked, and Athens had an army half the size of King Darius' army. Sparta couldn't help Athens. Athens tried a new strategy, and it worked! Athens won.

The Trojan war was a huge war between Troy and Greece.

It lasted many years (around 10) and resulted in Troy being destroyed. It was started by Paris, who unwisely stole Helen, the wife of Meneleuas. He waged a war against Troy, and with the help of many heroes, Meneleuas got his wife back. Some people say this just a tale, others say it was a real war.
